Dear Parents,
We have a 4 day week this week with Veteran's Day on Friday. Enjoy your 3-day weekend! Also, don't forget to "Fall back."
We begin Parent-Teacher conferences this week, through next Wednesday. Remember that conferences will be held in the Office Conference Room. Walk past Miss Vicki's desk to the 2nd door on the right. Please e-mail me if you need to confirm your time. Also another reminder that the p.m. class schedule will remain the same-- 11:30-2:50-- for the next 2 weeks.
We have no centers for the next three weeks due to Parent-Teacher Conferences and Thanksgiving. However, I will still need help on Wednesdays with Computer Lab & prepping the Wednesday envelopes. We will also continue with SPARK P.E., weather permitting. Centers will resume the week after Thanksgiving. There are a few projects that I may need some help on in class in the upcoming weeks. I will try to send out an e-mail for those projects to see if anyone may be available.
This week's letter is Nn, and the Alphafriend is Nyle Noodle. We will introduce two new sight words, with and be. Our share this week is Homemade Item. Please send in an item that your child made or mostly made at home, a crafting place, party, etc. No need for clues or bags! As always, Friday kids can share any day this week due to the Friday holiday.
Our math topic on comparing numbers continues this week. Children should understand the terms fewer, greater, and equal.
We will begin our Social Studies Unit on Times Past this week. We will be comparing and contrasting modern times to times past.
Please remember to send in your child's Blue Bag, with the homework folder inside, tomorrow. We will not have any homework or Blue Bags this Wednesday due to the long weekend :) Please continue sending in your forms for the Friendship Feast. We need many helpers and plenty of food to make this a success. We are looking forward to a fun event!
I am going to start putting together the helper schedule on the website for 2012. Please e-mail me if any changes need to be made/you need to switch days/etc. If anyone new would like to be added to the schedule, please let me know. Thanks so much to everyone for your generosity with your time-- centers and all enrichment activities have run SO smoothly this year!!
