It was so wonderful to get to know your children in our one-on-one meetings, and I enjoyed ending the week with a class Zoom!
This week, we will continue building up our learning minutes by adding in both the morning meeting at 8:30 and the closing gathering at 11:00. These meeting times will remain the same, and will continue to be on the same Zoom link.
I hope you have all had a chance to sign up for your child's assessment this week, so that I can begin forming small groups. This week, while I am assessing students, all other students will have assignments to complete for the day. Very specific directions for each assignment, along with the Zoom link, can be found in SeeSaw. I have created this video to walk you through how to use the choice board in SeeSaw. It is my hope that your children can work toward independently accessing and working on assignments by using the SeeSaw links.
Overview of Week
It's Bear Week in kindergarten! Our live meetings will have stories about bears, and we will end the week with a "Teddy Bear Picnic."
- Monday: We will introduce the letter Aa, we will work on name writing skills in our Rainbow Name book, we will learn about circles, and we will practice cutting and skipping.
- Tuesday: We will continue to study the letter Aa, we will continue practicing name writing in our Rainbow Name book, we will learn about squares, we will practice cutting, and we will go on a shape hunt
- Wednesday: We will introduce the letter Bb, we will finish our Rainbow Name book, we will learn about triangles, we will do a journal page, we will practice cutting, and we will work on jumping jacks.
- Thursday: We will continue working on the letter Bb, we will practice name writing, we will learn about rectangles, and we will go on a letter sound hunt.
- Friday: We will review both Aa and Bb, we will practice name writing, we will create a "heart map" of things we love, we will learn about hexagons, and we will have our Teddy Bear Picnic!
Again, your child will navigate all the activities and worksheets for the week by viewing the videos in SeeSaw. Each day's choice board will be pushed out in SeeSaw in the morning before class starts. Please let me know if you are having any problems with accessing the choice board and all its links with activity directions.
