This week, as we continue into Week 4 of At-Home Learning, we have added a sample schedule to the bottom of the lesson plan template. We hope that this will help make the work more manageable for you and your children. Remember-- your child should be spending about 40 minutes on SeeSaw activities with 15-20 minutes of reading
per day. Also, on a day that your child meets with me for small group reading activities, that counts towards your child's learning minutes. Please also keep in mind that we have the entire week over
which to spread out the SeeSaw activities. Please do not submit all
SeeSaw activities on the first day! There are many optional activities listed at the
bottom of the template, as well. Some go onto a second page as we
weren't able to keep the template to one page, so be sure to check those
out if you are looking for enrichment activities, both online and offline.

Language Arts
This week's sight word is where. Our theme this week is Earth Day, and we have a few stories and writing activities to go along with the theme in SeeSaw.
I will be continuing to meet with each of my reading groups on a
small group Zoom this week. It will continue to be at 9:15, on the same day it was last week. Invitations for those Zoom meetings went out on Friday. Whole-class Zoom meetings will be on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:00 this week. On Monday, I will talk about the activities for the week. On Wednesday, it will be a "show & tell" day-- show something that can be recycled. On Friday, we will wrap up our week together!
Math/STEAM
This week we will have an "Earth Day" themed addition & subtraction activity. Your children can play this activity more than once if they'd like!Be sure to check out the optional STEAM activities on page 2 of our lesson plan template. We have some fun Earth Day-themed activities!
P.E. with Mr. Thomas
Mr. Thomas will be meeting with the kindergarten students each
Tuesday at 1:45 for a live P.E. lesson on Zoom. The link to this meeting is the same as last week, and can be viewed in SeeSaw.
