Classroom Set-Up
I will be taking a second day off this Wednesday the 16th in order to set up the classroom for the return of in-person instruction in (hopefully) late January. On Wednesday, we will have an 8:30 a.m. Zoom, along with work in SeeSaw. There will be no other meetings that day-- no small group meetings, and no 11:00 Zoom. I am very excited about the hopeful return to in-person instruction.
Parent Meeting
In anticipation for our return to in-person instruction, I will be holding a parent meeting on Wednesday the 16th tan noon o discuss my plans for 2021. If you are unable to attend, please send me a message if you'd like a recording of the Zoom meeting sent to you.
What's happening this week:
Monday
- Gingerbread craft at the 11:00 Zoom. Please bring this template that was in the late October materials bag.
Tuesday
- Thaumatropes at the 11:00 Zoom. Please bring this template that was in last Tuesday's bag, and have some tape available to your child.
- Classroom Set-Up Day: 8:30 Zoom & SeeSaw work only. No small group Zooms or 11:00 Zoom
- Parent meeting at noon. See email for Zoom link
Thursday
- Regular day-- no schedule changes or crafts
Friday
- Class holiday party! Wear your PJs all day-- special exception to our usual Zoom rules :)-- and our party starts at 10:30 on Zoom. Bring a mug of hot cocoa (cocoa pack is in your child's holiday bag that was in our last materials pick-up) a covered toilet paper roll**, along with the holiday gift bag! We will do a snowman craft, play a game, and read some holiday stories. Your child should also have glue and scissors available at this Zoom.
- **as mentioned previously, please set aside an empty toilet paper roll for this craft. It would be great if you could prepare that roll ahead of time by covering it with the white piece of construction paper that is in the holiday gift bag. Here is a quick tutorial on how to prepare your child for the craft.
I'd like to wish you all a wonderful two weeks off, and thank you for the amazing support you all have offered during this trying time. Please take the time to enjoy games, stories, and outside time with your children & a break from iPads & technology! Happy Holidays!
