Week of 1/3

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful vacation & are rested and ready to get back into the swing of things on Monday!

Smart Re-Start
We will ease into our first week back with some fun projects such as making "Forky" from Toy Story, making play-doh, and working with our coding robot called Bee-Bot. The district calls this week a "Smart Re-Start" to get the kids excited about returning to school.

Language Arts
This week, we will focus on both fiction and non-fiction stories about bears. We will put together a fact book of our own with information we've learned about bears. Our sight word this week is for. We will also be focusing on the word families it and ip reading words such as sip, sit, rip, and bit.

Math
We will continue with Module 4, Number Pairs, Addition & Subtraction to 10. Parent tips for this module can be found here.

**Children returned all library books before the break, so they will check out a new book on Wednesday.

**We have P.E. on Monday. Please send your children in shoes & clothes appropriate for fitness.
